April 2, 1739: John Wesley began field preaching, proclaiming 'glad tidings of salvation' to about three thousand people, embodying his revolutionary approach: 'The world is my parish' - taking the gospel to the streets, fields, and wherever people gathered, breaking from traditional church boundaries.
Wesley's extensive travels: Over 250,000 miles on horseback across England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, preaching over 40,000 sermons in his lifetime.

September 27, 1998: Rev. Rolando Vinluan established the first Filipino-Canadian Methodist Church, 'the Pacific Community Methodist Church,' in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
2008: Bro. Vincent and Sis. Melba Vinluan, with Rev. Jose Velasco, Jr., and Deaconess Teresita Velasco, opened the first Bible study for a Filipino Methodist church plant in Calgary.
December 25, 2014: Rev. Samson Ringor and pioneer believers planted the Edmonton Filipino Methodist Church (EFMC).
November 2017: Calgary Filipino Methodist Mission was first organized at the home of Rev. Jose Velasco, Jr., and Deaconess Tessie in Calgary.
August 18, 2018: Calgary Filipino Methodist Church (CFMC) was legally incorporated and registered as a charitable religious organization in Canada.
June 29, 2022: Rev. Jonavern Lungub joined CFMC as Administrative Pastor and Missionary.
May 23, 2023: Pastor Jonavern transferred his ordination credentials to maintain his ministerial standing.
June 4, 2023: CFMC, in partnership with EFMC, helped plant Red Deer Filipino Methodist Church in Red Deer City, Alberta.
